Engine by Starling, the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subsidiary of Starling Bank, has won the “Best Use of Tech in Retail Banking” for its collaboration with Romania’s first digital bank, Salt Bank, and GFT.
Engine by Starling has launched Romania’s first ever digitally-native bank on its core banking platform. Salt Bank has already onboarded 100,000 Romanian customers, making it one of the fastest growing neobanks in Southeastern Europe.
The partnership will leverage GFT’s deep engineering skills, global reach and strategic focus on modern banking platforms.
The alliance will help banks implement Engine’s cloud-native banking platform as they look to modernise and launch new digital offerings.
